Charles Benoit

Bio

An occasional scuba diver and incurable novice saxophone player, Charles Benoit works as a Senior Copywriter and Producer for a marketing, advertising, and public relations firm, and he frequently teaches creative writing workshops around the county.

His Franklin Award–winning debut, Relative Danger, was nominated for an Edgar Award and a Barry Award. The Denver Post called Out of Order “the kind of book Alfred Hitchcock would have filmed.” His third mystery, Noble Lies, is a post-Tsunami missing person adventure.

Charles Benoit is also the host of "The Smart Set" on Jazz 90.1 FM and jazz901.org (Saturdays from 5:00–6:00 p.m. EST) and both of his listeners say they “really sorta like the show, usually.” He and his wife, Rose, a high school English teacher, live in Rochester, New York. You is Charles Benoit’s first YA novel.
