Courtney Allison Moulton is the author of the Angelfire trilogy, a young adult series about an archangel who was made mortal and given a human soul to protect humanity against legions of demonic reapers. The final book in the Angelfire trilogy, Shadows in the Silence, and the prequel novella, A Dance with Darkness, are due out in January 2013. The first two books in the series, Angelfire and Wings of the Wicked, were both huge hits with teens and praised for their high-octane cinematic action.
Moulton wrote her first novel when she was sixteen after writing a one-act play for her creative writing class. In 2008, she wrote Angelfire for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), a program that encourages amateurs to write a novel in a month. She sold the rights for the trilogy to Katherine Tegen Books in November 2009.
Moulton lives in Michigan, where she indulges in her two other passions: photography and horses. Her lifelong interests include supernatural stories, dead languages and ancient mythology. She was born in 1986 in Austin, Texas, and after several moves her family settled in Michigan. She read Goosebumps in third grade and decided she wanted to be an author like R.L. Stine.
