Ellen Schreiber

Before becoming a writer, Ellen Schreiber was an actress and comedian. After studying theatre at a local college, Schreiber performed a two-woman show for a year before going her own way to become a stand-up comedian. Vampire Kisses, Schreiber's best known series, includes nine titles: Vampire Kisses, Kissing Coffins, Vampireville, Dance with a Vampire, The Coffin Club, Royal Blood, Love Bites, Cryptic Cravings, and Immortal Hearts. The series centers around a rebellious girl named Raven who wants to be a vampire, but settles for dating one instead.

After finishing the Vampire Kisses series, Schreiber began work on a new series about a romantic werewolf. The first book in the Once In A Full Moon series was released in December 2010, and the second book, Magic Of The Moonlight, was released in December 2011.

In addition to her two series, Schreiber has written three young adult novels: Johnny Lightning, Teenage Mermaid, and Comedy Girl. Since the publication of the Vampire Kisses series, the books have been developed into a manga series.

After studying Shakespeare in London, Schreiber returned to Chicago where she has lived for five years. She does book signings all over the country and her books have been international successes, with Johnny Lightning being published first in Dutch and Vampire Kisses being published in Belgium three years before its American release.
