Bio
Paranormalcy attracted strong advance reviews and was chosen as a Young Adult Library Services Association Teen Top Ten winner. It may also become a motion picture, as Adler Pictures and Reverie Entertainment have optioned the film rights to the novel. Both Paranormalcy and Supernaturally made The New York Times best seller list, and White herself was named a 2010 Publishers Weekly Flying Start author.
While her career as a published novelist began only a short time ago, White has a variety of projects in the works. After Endlessly completes the Paranormalcy trilogy, her new thriller series Mind Games is slated for February 2013. She is also working on Isadora, an upcoming novel about a modern teenager whose parents are Egyptian gods.
Born and raised in Utah, White studied English at Brigham Young University. She now lives in San Diego with her husband and children. From there, in addition to writing fiction and raising her family, she maintains an active blog and Twitter presence.

The last great movie I saw was...
Sherlock Holmes.
My idea of a dream vacation is...
anywhere I can sleep...a lot. Preferably near an ocean or mountains.
My desert-island book would be...
the complete works of Jane Austen.
My writing rituals include...
finding the right Pandora Internet radio station to set the right mood.
When I'm not writing or reading I...
am taking care of my two kids and wishing someone else would cook and clean.
My favorite food is...
pizza, with chocolate coming in a close second. Obviously I'm very health conscious.
My least favorite food is...
coconut.
The music I'm really into these days is...
Ingrid Michaelson.
My favorite item of clothing is...
a super soft, huge black sweater. It's not very cute, but the ultimate comfort piece!
My greatest achievement so far is...
having two beautiful, happy kids. The book stuff comes in second to them! Although it wakes me up less...
If I couldn't be a writer, I would be...
a very bored stay-at-home mom, and eventually a teacher at a community college.
My one wish would be...
to have a million more wishes. Everyone knows that.
My most embarrassing moment was...
meeting my fiance's family for the first time and mistaking his uncle for his dad for an entire conversation.
My best quality is...
a quick mind.
My worst quality is...
a rather lazy disposition.
My greatest love is...
my husband. I picked him out when I was eighteen and my life has been happy ever since!
My favorite quote is...
"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it." -Roald Dahl
An author I'd love to lunch with is...
Neil Gaiman.
My favorite animal (or pet!) is...
the okapi-part zebra, part giraffe, part horse, all cool!
The TV show that I can't live without is...
actually DVD compilations of TV shows that have already been canceled! If I had cable, I'd never write.
The artist(s) or musician(s) I draw inspiration from include...
Snow Patrol, Hellogoodbye, and Ingrid Michaelson.
If a movie were made of my life, I would be played by...
Christopher Lee. Or, if he was too old or too male, Ellen Page.
The song title that best describes me is...
"Be Okay."
The fictional character who most resembles me is...
Elizabeth Bennett. (Okay, you know I just said that because it means I could make out with Mr. Darcy.)
The fictional character I most admire is...
Elizabeth Bennet. (Once again, she gets to kiss Mr. Darcy. What's not admirable about that?)
My best habit is...
telling my kids I love them every single day. About a million times.
My worst habit is...
avoiding cleaning.
My favorite pair of shoes is...
flip-flops! They are nearly all I wear.
My first crush was...
Martin the Warrior. Who was a mouse. And fictional.
My drink of choice is...
Dr Pepper.
A perfect day would include...
happy children, dinner I didn't have to cook, a walk on the beach, and free time with a new story.
I dream about...
new ideas for books, time to actually write them, and buying a house with a yard.
My favorite sports team is...
one that I never have to watch or hear about.
My favorite city is...
San Diego, California or Brasov, Romania.
The place where I am the happiest is...
at home with my husband and kids, or visiting my family in Utah.
My Six-Word Memoirâ„¢ is...
Overambitious and exhausted, but always happy.
