Lesley Livingston is the author of
Wonderous Strange, Darklight, Tempestuous and
Starling published by HarperCollins. She has won the Canadian Librarian Association Young Adult Book Award and is also a White Pine Honor Book winner. The intrigue and romance that began with
Wonderous Strange comes to a conclusion in
Starling, the final book in the trilogy.
She is the author of young adult fantasy romance books that are filled with action, intrigue and suspense based on mythology, past civilizations and legendary heroes that have fascinated her since childhood. Her knowledge and understanding of Celtic mythology, fairies and King Arthur have been woven into her novels.
Livingston has a Master’s Degree in English from the University of Toronto and specialized in Arthurian Literature and Shakespeare. She is trained in several forms of swordplay and stage combat and is a principal performer and founding member of the Tempest Theatre Group, a Shakespearean theater company in Toronto, Canada. For three years she hosted “Spacebar,” a national broadcast weekly sci-fi/fantasy television show.
She collected comic books as a child and believes the world needs superheroes even if only found in books. Her favorite is X-Man in Wolverine.
Livingston has loved horses since childhood and wanted to be a jockey. Her interests also include art, gardening, music, painting and sketching, and traveling as well as being a voracious reader of books.
