Bio

Sophie Jordan writes in three genres: young adult fiction, historical romance and paranormal romances, but she is most well known for her Avon historical romances, which have earned her a space on the New York Times best sellers list.

The Texas native is a former high school English teacher who now lives in Houston with her family. She wrote her first story in high school, and then earned a degree in English and history, areas that have served her well in her writing career.

Firelight, the first book in a trilogy about Jacinda, a young woman descended from dragons who has the ability to assume a human form. Vanish, the second book in the trilogy, continues her saga as Jacinda puts herself in peril to search for her true love. Hidden, the last book in the trilogy, published in September 2012. The Firelight digital novella, Breathless published in December 2012.

Firelight is an international best seller that is available in 14 countries and has been optioned for a movie.

The Moon Chasers is a series of books - five so far with a sixth in the works - in her paranormal fiction line where she writes under the name Shari Kohler. The series debuted with Marked by Moonlight in 2007 and was followed by Kiss of a Dark Moon and To Crave a Blood Moon in 2008, My Soul to Keep in 2010 and Night Falls on the Wicked in 2011. The latest title, A Soul So Wicked published in December 2012 by Pocket Books. Her books immerse readers in the underworld of witches and lycans.
