The holiday author takeover is winding down here at Story Crush. Jill Hathaway, author of Slide and Impostor (available this spring), is here to help us say goodbye to a week full of holiday memories and usher in a wonderful new year!
A Year of Many Things by Jill Hathaway
Well, phew, 2012 has been insane.
In a good way. Really.
On December 12th, 2011, I welcomed my son into the world. Technically that didn’t happen in 2012, but the whole getting accustomed to having a new member in our family thing took up the first few months of the year. During that time, I was also revising the sequel to SLIDE (IMPOSTOR, which comes out in March). I definitely had my hands full.
Then I got to see SLIDE, my first novel, on the shelf at Barnes and Noble. I have to admit, there were some tears. HarperCollins sent me on tour with Kimberly Derting and Dan Wells, and I got to meet tons of amazing people!
Also in 2012 I finally got serious about my health. Shortly after my book tour, I realized that munching on Oreos during revision hadn’t done my figure any favors. I started Weight Watchers and really tried to be more active. So far I’ve lost over fifty pounds. I feel truly fabulous.
So, to sum up, 2012 was the year of babies, books, and losing my bootie! I hope your year has been just as wonderful.
Story Crush and Epic Reads asked me to share one of my favorite things from 2012. I spent a lot of time considering this, and I believe one of my most powerful tools for weight loss success is my pedometer. I try to take 10,000 steps every single day.
For a chance to win this pedometer, comment below with one of your goals for 2013:
