Beautiful Bookstores That Will Make You Swoon
One further photo of this Parisian treasure; what a shop! It's a rabbit warren of bohemian eccentricity in which a cosmopolitan group of tranquillised bibliophiles sit on sofas, antique armchairs, and cross-legged in corners pouring over editions of Proust and Plath's poetry. A classical musician plays an exquisite melody in an adjoining room and the only thought to marr the serenity is how to afford all the books in the pile at my feet. #paris #shakespeareandcompany #shakespeareandcoparis

24 | Part II What's a birthday without a bookstore, I ask you, reader. And this year I found a new favourite. It opened up only a few months ago and I'd been saving a visit here until yesterday. Good things happen all together. The store was great, there was coffee we could simply help ourselves too, great jazz played on in the background & I found an unbelievably cool book which I'm going to share soon (I like to build up suspense!). Although the collection isn't vastly expansive, whatever they have is carefully curated and then there all these marvellous special editions collected from all over the world. The owner was also a real fine man to talk to and we soon realized that he was actually the father of one my seniors from college, who also I later met and it was kinda cool that he remembered me still. Oh, boy, I absolutely loved being here and I didn't quite realise when 2 hrs zipped by. Are these the spaces where serendipity strikes? I feel so. Here's to Chapter 101, the start of a new love affair. PS: When I get to building myself a study, this is almost exactly how I dream it to look like.
