Cool cover, and the story sounds awesome, I can’t wait to read this one!!!

  3. February 12, 2013 | 3:20 pm

I’ve never read Varient (and after going and looking up the synopsis I think I might have to), but Blackout sounds really interesting… and extremely different from what I normally read (which means this is getting added to my to-read list immediately).

And. The cover? I’m kind of in a “jaw drop” type state right now. I’m not quite sure why I love it so much, but I really do. (I think the only thing that might bug me a little is where “The Virus Has Spread” was placed.) If nothing else I’d want this book so I could display it somewhere. I just love the look of the cover. It’s just so neat. Also? It’s a really nice break from a girl with long flowy hair, wearing a long flowy dress.

This cover is amazing… I really like it!! I hope the book will be as good as this cover.

  5. February 12, 2013 | 3:29 pm

The cover looks really cool. I’d pick it up. The synopsis sealed the deal for me. Sounds a bit like Heroes…PLEASE tell me this is a superhero-esque book because I will cry of joy. :)

Okay, wow! This book sounds so cool! And that cover is awesome. There aren’t that many yellow covers out there either, so that’s different. It feels like everything is suspended and you’re waiting for it to drop… Looks like the book will be suspenseful and exciting!

  7. February 12, 2013 | 3:34 pm

3013: The year of more minimalist YA cover. Covers without people on them too. More Type based.

    Awesome eye catching cover!!

  24. February 12, 2013 | 6:11 pm

One word for that cover — Infectious! The contrast of gold and black, the appearance of magnified pollen, spreading, dispersing … really seems to give a visual snapshot of the synopsis. Just beautiful! Can’t wait to read it!

  25. February 12, 2013 | 6:41 pm

That’s a crazy looking cover. Can’t wait to find out more about it.

I love this cover!!! I like the colors :D

  30. February 12, 2013 | 8:10 pm

The cover is excellent. It does what a cover is supposed to do–caught my eye, made me stop, and I would definitely pick this book up. I also love the concept that impossible powers are an infection. It’s so counter to the idea of gaining powers. I’m very interested.

  31. February 12, 2013 | 8:31 pm

the cover looks really neat and the story line seems intersting!

  32. February 12, 2013 | 9:21 pm

  33. February 12, 2013 | 9:28 pm

    That looks awesome!!

  35. February 12, 2013 | 11:45 pm

Gorgeous. I love how YA is sating my longing for more Crichton-esque books right now.

  36. February 12, 2013 | 11:47 pm

I LOVE the cover! It really stands out and I can’t wait to see how it will like in person! Plus, the concept for BLACK OUT sounds just as awesome too!

  37. February 13, 2013 | 12:00 am

The story actually sounds really cool!

  38. February 13, 2013 | 12:03 am

This concept is so cool! I love stories and movies where there is a disease/virus that is spreading and they have to fight to stop it. To put a spin on it and have it infecting teens with powers… so awesome! And I think the cover is very fitting. :)

  39. February 13, 2013 | 12:17 am

I love how the cover relates to the book’s title so perfectly. Technologically speaking, a blackout is no electrical power. Physically, a blackout block everything else out and this cover shows it superbly. Well done!

  40. February 13, 2013 | 12:18 am

The cover is amazing. When it finished loading I understood how the virus was spreading. Now I want to read the book.

  41. February 13, 2013 | 12:28 am

  43. February 13, 2013 | 12:45 am

I can’t wait to read this book!!! I love the cover and I love the fact that even though the cover is simple it intrigues and makes you want to atleast read the synopsis.

  44. February 13, 2013 | 1:00 am

    Looks cool… interested to read.

  45. February 13, 2013 | 1:01 am

I LOVED Variant, so I’m expecting great things for this new book. The cover is gorgeous and intriguing and the synopsis even more so! It looks awesome :D

  46. February 13, 2013 | 1:14 am

I know they say ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’, but lets face it, we all do it. This is definitely one of those covers I’d pick off of a shelf and take a closer look at. It’s the perfect combination of beautiful and a little bit scary. I will definitely be adding Black Out to my TBR list!

  47. February 13, 2013 | 1:21 am

Oh, my god. My usually non-existent cover whore is coming out. I mean, I love covers with minimal design on them. Besides, it’s by Robison Wells. I loved Variant, so I can’t wait to pick up Blackout.

  48. February 13, 2013 | 1:23 am

That sounds really interesting! The cover is beautiful, overwhelming, and mysterious all at once… I hope there’s some kind of connection to the story.

  49. February 13, 2013 | 1:25 am

The Cover Is Really Awesome, Great Contrast Between The Black And Yellow! Also It Really Looks Like A Slide Of A Virus It Is So Cool!

  50. February 13, 2013 | 1:26 am

I love this cover and can’t wait to read this!!

  51. February 13, 2013 | 1:43 am

Wow! If there was ever a cover that depicted its premise it’s the cover letter Black Out! It’s as if someone opened an envelope to find it full of anthrax or something as deadly! Fabulous!

  52. February 13, 2013 | 1:46 am

I totally want to read this book! I loved Variant and cannot wait to read more from this author! The cover rocks and really draws the eye and makes me that much more excited!

  53. February 13, 2013 | 2:00 am

Omg…that cover is awesome! Seriously, it makes me want to read the book. The cover would have to be seriously good and eye catching for it to do that to me. I have now added this to my TBR list on Goodreads :)

  54. February 13, 2013 | 2:19 am

I LOVE the cover! I love the yellow against the black and how it’s as if you can see the virus spreading. it draws you to it and it definitely makes me want to read BlackOut!!! Can’t wait : )

  55. February 13, 2013 | 2:24 am

    That looks lovely! I want!

  56. February 13, 2013 | 2:25 am

Loving the cover! The bright yellow immediately draws the eye and the tagline really makes me want to read :)

  57. February 13, 2013 | 2:28 am

I like the cover…but I’m not sure how it relates to the story (cause I haven’t read it yet ;])

  61. February 13, 2013 | 3:13 am

Love the cover. It just jumps out at you.

  62. February 13, 2013 | 3:50 am

I love the way it made feel like the yellow was going to hit me, too.

  63. February 13, 2013 | 3:57 am

I love the cover, but I’m so over redesigns. :/

  64. February 13, 2013 | 4:15 am

The cover is so cool. I like how it looks like a yellow storm of chalk or bees. Depending on how long you look at it.

  65. February 13, 2013 | 5:02 am

oh my stars! i love the cover! so different and unique!

  66. February 13, 2013 | 5:33 am

A virus ‘infecting teens with impossible powers’??? I’m sold with that blurb. The cool cover is just a bonus!

  67. February 13, 2013 | 5:53 am

Love the cover. It’s really different – there aren’t any models, posing, etc.

It kind of reminds me of a juice spill – it just spreads out wider and wider, which sounds like it fits the book’s plot.

  68. February 13, 2013 | 7:20 am

I loved Variant (not so much Feedback though) so I can’t wait to see what else Wells has in store. To be honest, I’m not a fan of the cover. It looks like a placeholder cover…reminiscent of the new The Immortal Rules covers.

The “virus” looks like golden meteors..or gold dust.

  69. February 13, 2013 | 8:46 am

The cover is a bit unsettling, in a good way. It reflects the anticipated mood and pace of the book, based upon the plot. It’s perfect for the book, and I can’t wait to get a hold on this one!

  70. February 13, 2013 | 9:11 am

Oh wow! I love the different take on the cover- it’s simple, but the contrast between the yellow and the black is really eye-catching! Beautiful cover. :)

  71. February 13, 2013 | 4:05 pm

The description of Blackout sounds intriguing!!! Can’t wait to read it.

  72. February 13, 2013 | 4:06 pm

This cover is great! My new books are place right by the door of my library. A cover like this will never stay on the shelf!

  73. February 13, 2013 | 4:50 pm

Love the cover and can not wait to read BlackOut!

  74. February 13, 2013 | 5:49 pm

that cover looks so cool, can’t wait to read the book!!

  75. February 13, 2013 | 5:59 pm

Sounds interesting. I want to read it now!

  76. February 13, 2013 | 6:01 pm

I love the cover. It is eye catching and interesting!

  77. February 13, 2013 | 8:45 pm

I’ve never read Varient but now I ,ust go look at synopsis and decide where to buy.

The cover is very interesting. Not sure if the yellow is dust, gold or rocks. At first glance I was like “Oh Look yellow Cocaine…” yes weird I know. Cant wait to put this on my TBR pile.

  78. February 13, 2013 | 9:46 pm

Contrasting black and gold is very striking. The imagery is simple, yet effective — evocative of a tornado of viruses about to descend on the population. Thanks for offering the giveaway. Good luck to all who enter!

  79. February 13, 2013 | 9:55 pm

The cover is gorgeous. I’m not sure what that is that’s flying about (maybe it’s supposed to be spores?), but it makes for a pretty cover.

  80. February 14, 2013 | 5:34 am

I love this cover so much. The black and yellow look great together. I can’t wait to read!

  81. February 16, 2013 | 5:58 am

I’m not a big fan of the tagline placement, but any cover with “Robison Wells” on it is added to my wish list automatically.

  82. February 16, 2013 | 11:26 pm

I like the cover because of the fact that it shows what the virus is supposed to look like, or more of what the aftermath is of the virus. I also like the fact that the cover symbolizes the virus as well.

  83. February 22, 2013 | 7:48 am

It’s absolutely stunning. Rob must be euphoric.

  84. February 24, 2013 | 9:18 pm

Absolutely stunning!!! I got butterflies in my stomach just looking at it – it drew me in! I can’t wait!!!

  85. February 27, 2013 | 1:59 am

When I first saw this cover, I thought it was a tree blacking out the night sky… then realized that the “leaves” might actually be spores of the virus that’s mentioned. I feel like it’s done really well, and you can interpret the visual in different ways.

I loved Variant (was underwhelmed by Feedback), and am excited to read this!

  86. March 6, 2013 | 6:05 am

The cover is really great. Very unusual and different from what I have seen on other books!

  87. March 22, 2013 | 7:18 pm

Love it. I want it NOW!!!
