So yesterday Rae Carson, author of The Girl of Fire and Thorns and the upcoming sequel The Crown of Embers, created a member profile on Epic Reads (go friend her here!) and then uploaded a photo of her cats with Jodi Meadows’ book, Incarnate. Naturally, that made me squee with excitement so I requested more photos of her kitties with books. And then things got a little out of hand.
So far, we’ve received photos from the following Epic Reads authors: Rae Carson, Kat Zhang, Jodi Meadows, Sophie Jordan and Robison Wells.
We’ve also received numerous pics from our fan/followers/members. So like I told Rae yesterday, let’s keep them coming!!! I’ve curated them all onto this Pinterest board, but here are some of my favorites so far.
It all started with this photo of Rae’s kitty.
Then Kat Zhang tweeted us a pic of her friend’s cat with her upcoming book, What’s Left of Me.
Then Rae Carson uploaded another pic to her Epic Reads profile, uping the game by having TWO of our upcoming titles in the pic. That cat must be well read.
Then this happened. Robison Wells tweeted us this pic with the following message: “I don’t have a pet, so here’s a picture of Godzilla holding FEEDBACK.”
And then the pics just started rolling in. Here are some of my favorites:

He read so much so fast that he went cross-eyed.

UPDATE 7:07PM AUGUST 22nd - There is now an offshoot of Epic Pets. We are building an army known as “Cats for Kat Zhang”, so if you have a cat and an advance copy of her book What’s Left Of Me, snap a photo and tweet it to Kat @KatZhang and use the hashtag #CatsForKatZhang and we will pin it to her new Cats For Kat Zhang Pinterest board. I should get a picture of my parakeet with a book, but I’m afriad she’ll poop on it or try to chew it up, so I’d have to do it fast.
