Today, Team Epic Reads decided it would be fun to test out our new Ustream account with a little lunch break live chat. We had A LOT of fun doing this and are hoping to make this a regular, weekly thing. But, we want to hear from you guys!
What time of day is best for you to watch a 10-15min live stream event?
What day is best in the week?
How often would you like us to do these?
What topics should we discuss?
Below is a little preview and welcome video we recorded after our initial live stream!
And don’t worry, it’s not just us you’ll be seeing on our live stream. We’re planning on getting our authors involved too — so keep an eye out for updates on what’s happening soon!
I can’t wait to hear what you think! Leave your comments / suggestions in the comments or tweet them to us @EpicReads!

Evenings is always best for me, after 8. I have kids and such going on, so I’m not usually settled down until that time. I work during the day, so that’s hard for me.
I love what you guys are doing here at Epic Reads, I really feel like its a community that is growing. Its pretty awesome. I follow other publishing companys on twitter and facebook but they arent as interactive with their communities as you guys are. Its amazing! You always have something fun, new and interesting, please keep it up =D
YAY!!! Video chat!
I love how HarperCollinsChildrens is doing their marketing. Many if my favorite series come from this publisher. They are very interactive with the fns. I also love it when a Dark Days tour comes to Andersons in naperville. I really wish I was an intern, but I live if Chicago, not New York. HC has an awesome design department too. Making YA covers would be my dream job! All these covers are amazing!

How often would you like us to do these?

What topics should we discuss?

I think evenings will probably work best for a lot of people and will allow people on the West coast to participate without interrupting work. Weekdays are generally preferable to weekends. Chats should be at least once a month (if not more often, if possible). I’m open on any topics that are related to books, writing and authors. I’m looking forward to this addition…thanks!
Thanks for your feedback! If you ever get any fun ideas for things we can talk about, or things you’d like to see from the Epic Reads HQ, let us know!
