My Favorite Couples of All Time by Kasie West
In honor of Valentine’s day, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite couples of all time. The first spot goes to this lovely couple:

Hugh Jackman and Kasie West! Don’t they look cute together?
Oh wait, I think I’m supposed to pick fictitious couples, not real ones. Yes, that makes more sense. And seeing as how I love to read about people falling in love, I have several favorite couples from literature. It was really hard to narrow it down because there are so many great ones.
The real first spot goes to:

Wes and Macy from Sarah Dessen’s THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER. I’m a huge fan of the slow building relationship. And no book does it better. I mean, they literally play a game where they have to slowly answer questions over weeks of talking. The first person unwilling to answer a question loses. And since they’re both competitive they don’t want to lose. It’s really a brilliant plot device. Wes and Macy are amazing. I love how flawed and dynamic each of them are as individuals. And how much better that makes them together.
Another favorite couple of mine is Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Talk about slow building. But no, that’s not what I love most about this one. I love this couple because they were best friends first. I think best friends discovering feelings for one another are fun to read about. The tension it creates when one is not sure how the other feels is great. Another author who did an awesome job with this was Kimberly Derting in The Body Finder. I love Violet and Jay—the best friends turned couple. There’s just something fun about watching people who already care about each other fall in love.
On the opposite side, I think enemies turned lovers can be brilliant when done right as well. And who does this better than Veronica Rossi with Perry and Aria? Love them. There’s just something intriguing about characters learning to see past long held judgments to find what’s real. Which reminds me of one of my favorite couples ever: Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy. And that is definitely where I should end, because who could top that couple? (Well, aside from me and Hugh?)
Who are your favorite fictional couples? Tell us in the comments for a chance to win a copy of PIVOT POINT!

Okay, so this one’s kind of an oldie, but a goodie — Scarlett O’Hara and Rhett Butler. Rhett was my first fictitious love, and the fire and passion between them just swept me away. There are a lot of couples I love – Hermione & Ron definitely among them — but you never forget your first love.
My favourite couple is more of an historical one. It’s the love between Guinevere and Lancelot that has my heart pounding. Add in the unrequited love of Arthur and you’ve been the best love triangle in history. (Whether true or not.) One of my favourite books is The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It’s a must read for all women! I first read it when I was in high school and now I read it every year.
My favorite fictional couples are Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett, of course. On a more modern couple, I’d have to say Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert; I’ve been rooting for him since the beginning.
Some of my favorite couples are Jane and Rochester, Lena and Alex (Delirium series), Juliette and Adam and Warner (Shatter Me… I can’t decide between the two guys. I think they both offer something different for her), and Tessa and Will (from the Infernal Devices).
My favorite couples are Catherine and Heathcliff, Lena and Alex, Kylie and Lucas(shadow falls) and Nikki, Jack, and Cole(can’t choose between them)….
My favorite fictitious couples are: Jane Eyre and Edward Rochester, Anna and Etienne, Juliette and Adam, Elizabeth Bennett and Mr. Darcy, and totally agreeing with Kasie here: Macy and Wes. You just can’t find much contemporary romance that is as good as Sarah Dessen. Well except for Justina Chen Headley, Stephanie Perkins, Marni Bates, and Meg Cabot. Hehe see how I snuck in some authors for you to check out? Seriously, go read them, they rock.
I love: Lena and Alex!
and
Hazel and Augustus!
I’ve always loved the story of Tristan and Isolde. And my current favorite book couple are Simon Lewis and Isabelle Lightwood! =D
Jane and Rochester– so dark and twisty, but they really save each other in the end.
Marco and Celia from The Night Circus– back and forth magic tricks equal best flirtation build up ever.
omg Wes and Macy <3! All of Sarah Dessen's novels have such great realistic relationships. Also I love Sam and Grace from the Wolves of Mercy Falls trilogy.
Really intrigued to read Pivot Point by the way! It's definitely on my TBR list!
I definitely agree with Hermione and Ron and Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy! I also love Hazel and Gus from TFIOS.
Macy and Wes definitely.
AND
HAZEL AND AUGUSTUS!
OMG!!!!!!
Too many! But among my favs are:
Divergent’s Tris & Four
Just One Day’s Lulu & Willem
TFIOS’s Hazel & Gus
