Kicking things off, please welcome Amy Plum, author of Die for Me, Until I Die and the final book in the trilogy, If I Should Die – coming this spring!
As we all know, Amy lives in Paris, so for her holiday post, she’s taking us on a sightseeing tour of the Christmas lights in Paris!
Paris Lights Sightseeing with Amy Plum
You all know by now how magical I find Paris. But at Christmas time, the city waves its wand and floods its parks, streets, and stores with holiday spirit. I took a little walk around town to get these photos for you. Just loop your arm through mine, pull your scarf up around your face (it’s COLD!) and get ready for an evening of Paris Christmas lights sightseeing!
The Big Wheel is up at the corner of the Tuileries Gardens, looking out over the Place de la Concorde toward a glowing Eiffel Tower in the distance.
And here’s another view from Place de la Concorde looking toward the Louvre, with the Obelisk of Luxor in the foreground!

These festive Christmas stands line the eastern end of the Champs-Elysees.
And here is the Champs-Elysees looking toward the Arc de Triomphe.

All of the streets have their own decorations, but this view of the rue de Rivoli is particularly stunning!
The skating rink set up in front of Paris’s Town Hall (Hotel de Ville).
And just across the street, one of my favorite stores dressed up for the holidays: BHV! (Bazar de l’hotel de ville)
And we will end our Christmas tour with one of a million little shopping streets in the middle of Paris.

I love the view from place du tertre, It just gives me a little bit of perspective. I would’ve loved to visit Paris around christmas time, I bit it’s absolutely lovely.
