Yesterday was like Christmas. At about 4 in the afternoon a shipment of boxes arrived at Epic Reads headquarters full of mystery and intrigue. What would be in those boxes? We knew they were ARCs (advance reader copies) of upcoming books we’ll eventually use for all of our giveaways here and on Pitch Dark and Story Crush — but we didn’t know what would be in them. Yesterday we slowly opened the boxes and revealed their contents via Twitter and Instagram, but we’re going to do a quick replay of what went down yesterday and open the 2 remaining boxes today!
It all started with the arrival of the boxes. Our office hedgehog/overlord, Snarkles (his name was voted #1! But his official long name is King Snarkles Prickle McFluffypants) was guarding them for us. Keeping all those grabby hands at bay.

After a brief discussion with King Snarkles, he agreed to let us open the boxes and reveal their contents. The first one revealed copies of MIND GAMES by Kiersten White (on sale February 19th).

Peeling back the flaps on box #2, we found copies of ASUNDER, the sequel to Incarnate by Jodi Meadows and copies of UNRAVEL ME, the sequel to Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi! Asunder goes on sale January 29, 2013 and Unravel Me goes on sale February 5th, 2013!

Box #4 was a mystery, until Snarkles opened it for us. Box #4 was full of copies of SILENCE IN THE SHADOWS, the sequel to Angelfire and Wings of the Wicked by Courtney Allison Moulton and THE TROUBLE WITH FLIRTING, the sequel to Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik. Silence in the Shadows goes on sale January 29, 2013 and The Trouble with Flirting goes on sale February 26, 2013.

Finally, Box #6 was opened. It held copies of THE DEAD GIRLS DETECTIVE AGENCY by Suzy Cox and PRETTY GIRL-13 by Liz Coley! The Dead Girls Detective Agency goes on sale this month on September 18th and Pretty Girl-13 goes on sale March 19, 2013!

Now it was time to unload all the boxes, and as we made our way down to the bottoms, box #3 held a surprise! Copies of MILA 2.0 by Debra Driza! This book (I’m personally doing a happy dance for as we speak) goes on sale March 12, 2013!

Definitely most excited for Mind Games and Mila 2.0! The covers are completely gorgeous and pose questions as to just what will be happening and the brief synopsis sounds so thrilling. Android-like being that is taken away when discovered of having human emotions, sisters fighting and willing to do everything they can to help and protect each other; what is seriously not to love with amazing stories and amazing covers, absolutely, positively nothing!
The Dead Girls Detective Agency, definitely. It just sounds so interesting!
I can’t wait for shadows in the silence, because it an angelfire book! And I absolutely adored the first ones!
My top 2 are definitely Asunder by Jodi Meadows & Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. I’m obsessed with both first books of these series and I really can’t wait for more. However, I am looking forward to reading Mila 2.0. That cover is AMAZING and the story seems just as great.
I am excited for all of them but Valkyrie Rising is at the top of the wants. It sounds like a new kind of YA PR that would be right up my alley.

Hmmmm. All those books. What I wouldn’t do to hold all those books in my hands. The book(s) I want the most are Unravel Me and Shadows in the Silence. Why? Because I’m dying to know more about the story and characters. Seriously.
I am most excite about UNRAVEL ME! I love Shatter Me..I read her first 22 chapters on day in facebook when she released a chapter an hour,I was hooked! It is a continuous adventure with twists,turns and new revelations..plus we have love interests,maybe even a love triangle developing.
The Shadow Girl, it sounds utterly intriguing and like nothing I have read before. There are quite a few titles I would love to read amongst this collection!

Unravel Me is seriously eyeballing me…seriously. Why do I want it pronto? Well duh, because the world is ending this Dec and I’ll never get to read it since it releases in Feb. OK totally kidding.. I don’t believe in that. Having Unravel Me soon would do wonders for me!!

Most excited for Asunder! Though Unravel me is a close second >.< Even after reading Incarnate MONTHS ago, I still can’t get it out of my head! I have recommended it profusely to my family and made every one of them read it! -except my Dad, he was spared my wrath. ;’)

I’m really looking forward to so many of these, but if I had to pick one I’d go with Unravel Me because the story ended right at a moment where Juliette and Adam could maybe finally have a moment to breathe and I wants some happy moments for them before everything gets even more complicatedâ

I would love to win Unravel Me! I’ve read it’s predecessor like three times, and I hardly ever reread books! Also I keep hearing great thing about from people who have already read it and how its even better than the first. If I win this book I will die happy.
So many books, and I really wish I could get my hands on them! Asunder and Unravel me are two I can’t pick between, and absolutely can’t wait to read! Incarnate and shatter me got rec’d to me by a lot of friends, I have read them, and re-read them a lot! I simply can’t get enough. I am excited to see the next phase in the stories for those characters!

May I first fit in that you have such a lucky job! So lucky to have all those ARCs! I am particularly excited for Taken, The Madman’s Daughter and Mind Games.
I am excited about Taken because this book intrigued me from just looking at the cover. I, then, tried to look online for a synopsis and reviews from anyone who has already read an ARC. I couldn’t seem to find a synopsis, but the reviews that I have seen so far say it is an amazing book that they could not put down.
I am excited for The Madman’s Daughter because it seems like an interesting story plot about a woman who has tried to leave behind the past that people have created about her and her father, then realizing he is still alive. It is something different from what I usually read, but some how really caught my attention.
Mind Games, too, is something different than I am used to reading. It sounded very different from the stereotypical Vampires and Werewolf Teen books out there, lately. Instead, it is about girls with extraordinary powers. That sounds really cool to me and makes me curious of the story plot and the progression of the story.

SHADOWS IN THE SILENCE. If I could only read one book, out of all the ones there. It would be that one. The ending of the second book had me literally screaming my head off. So i really want to know what happens next. Also, Unravel Me. Shatter me was good, and Im excited to read the next book

I would really like Unravel Me, Pretty Girl_13, Pivot Point and One Shot Away. They all have such pretty covers(I know, I am breaking the rule don’t judge a book by its cover) But they also sound really interesting! I have been eyeing The Madmans Dughter for months, this one by far is the one I’ve been eagerly waiting for. I love the idea of a story being told from a different POV espically when it’s based off such a great character.

I’m most excited for Valkyrie Rising! Ever since I met Ingrid Paulson at an author event and told me about her book, I’ve been drooling over it
For one, I love mythology and action, and from what I’ve heard, this book would give me a fair share of both 
The other reason is because it involves Norse mythology, a subject I’ve always been interested about. Valkyries are familiar to me, but not thoroughly researched. However, in Norse mythology, there’s also Loki, who I probably have an unhealthy obsession about….
