PLANET YA: Canada and Greenland

Get ready to read your way across the globe with PLANET YA! First stop? Canada and Greenland!

A few weeks ago we debuted our United States of YA reading map, a map featuring young adult books set in all 50 states. We promised to extend the project to the rest of the world, and thanks to your help, we’ve been working hard on creating a list of YA books set in as many countries as we can. Now we are ready to begin rolling out maps for the rest of the world! To make it easier, we are breaking up the maps by regions and will post them in separate blog posts this week and next. We encourage you all to reblog, post, download, print and share. We created these maps for everyone and we hope you are enjoying them as much as us!

Today we have a map for CANADA and GREENLAND, our neighbors to the north. Since Canada is such a big country and there are just too many good Canadian-set YA books to choose from, we decided it would be best to break it up by province / region. We must give a special thanks to @HCCFrenzy for helping us curate the Canadian reads!

What, no provinces? Just east west north…

We didn’t do provinces because we had to group some of them together since we couldn’t find books for each province. But we did place the books in the provinces on the map when we could!

Robin Bridges book The Gathering Storm (The Katerina Trilogy #1) has a part that takes place in Montenegro. :)

It’s too bad you didn’t post asking for help fins\ding books in each province, cause us Canadians could have helped with that no problemo!

No provinces? Would you lump together a bunch of American states because you couldn’t find a specific book for one state, or would you look harder instead & ask for help finding books?
But whatever *shrug* it’s just a map of books I guess.

This is awesome! Except that Alice I Think takes place in Smithers, which is on the west coast (if I remember the book correctly). Love Susan Juby, she’s one of my favourite Canadian authors! And I totally have to read The Gathering now that I know it takes place in Western Canada (where I live). And Wild Awake too!
