New York Comic Con was last week and Team Epic Reads had a blast interviewing authors, holding down the HarperCollins booth, attending panels and keeping Snarkles out of the riff-raff. Below are some of our favorite moments from the weekend. If you saw us or visited the booth and snapped some pics, tweet them to us so we can share them on our Comic Con Pinterest board (where you can view ALL of the photos from the weekend.)
Our authors stopped by for breakfast on Friday morning! (From left to right: Peter Lerangis, John Kloepfer, Rae Carson, Terry Pratchett, Rob Reger, Tahereh Mafi, Jocelyn Davies, Stefan Bachman)
Once the interviews we’re completed, we got the authors to sign some books!
Finally, it was time to head to the Javits Center!
We arrived! Look at the crowd!
It was time for Snarkles to scope out the scene:
Once Snarkles got a good sense of the layout, it was time to visit the HarperCollins booth. When we got there, Snarkles had some fans waiting to greet him, including his long lost love: the dapper octopus!
Once we secured the booth and established Snarkles’ celebrity status, we bravely ventured out onto the showroom floor. Snarkles began making some new friends! Here he is, getting cozy with The Hulk.
Snarkles loves getting hugs, especially if they are free.
One simply does not walk into Mordor. . . unless you are Snarkles.
Snarkles got a little lost in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sewer.
Now it was time to head down to the panel floor, in anticipation of the Passion, Power and Paranormals panel with Jocelyn Davies, Tahereh Mafi, Dan Krokos, Alex Bracken, Margaret Stohl & more!
Waiting for the panel to begin…
And it has begun!
Once the panel ended, it was time to do it all over again on Saturday! This time, Chris Columbus and Ned Vizzini stopped by the HarperCollins booth!
Ned even signed some books for his fans! (Also, does anyone else think Ned Vizzini totally rocks the beard?)
It was an exciting and supremely fun weekend. See all of the photos from Comic Con here and don’t forget to tweet us your NYCC pics if you stopped by the HarperCollins booth or went to any of the panels! Share your Comic Con memories in the comments!
