Yep you heard it right, Mandy Moore is joining Amandla Stenberg in Fox’s adaptation of The Darkest Minds! Minds is set after a pandemic kills most of America’s children and teenagers. When some survivors develop various superpowers, they are deemed too dangerous for society, taken from their families and placed inside internment camps. Moore, who recently received a Golden Globe nomination for her work in NBC’s This is Us, will play an altruistic doctor and fervent member of a crusade that wants to put a stop to the persecution of the children.
If you’re a 90s kid you know Mandy Moore from that time she stole your heart with “Candy” and her role in A Walk to Remember . But let us also never forget that she made an *epic* appearance in The Princess Diaries where she begged Stupid Cupid to stop breakin’ her heart, won us over with her voice in Tangled, and more recently made us cry on a weekly basis with This Is Us. Now, we are so ready for her to kick some ass with Amandla (our fave YA icon) on the big screen.
MAAAAANDY! I'm SO EXCITED about this!! 💖😭 https://t.co/nHXkcW2zIt
