Happy Sunday! . I’ve partnered with @epicreads today to tell you about The Vanishing Stair by @maureenjohnsonbooks , which releases on the 22nd! I read Truly Devious last year and really enjoyed it. If you loved Nancy Drew or like a murder mystery set at an elite school, then you must read this series! @epicreads is hosting a #TrulyDeviousSweepstakes to celebrate! 8 lucky winners will win both books in the series, along with a prize pack of bookish gifts & custom clues! Visit the @epicreads site or to enter & for details & official rules. Open to US residents 13+ only. Enter by 1/20/19. 🔦Summary🔦 All Stevie Bell wanted was to find the key to the Ellingham mystery, but instead she found her classmate dead. And while she solved that murder, the crimes of the past are still waiting in the dark. Just as Stevie feels she’s on the cusp of putting it together, her parents pull her out of Ellingham academy. For her own safety they say. She must move past this obsession with crime. Now that Stevie’s away from the school of topiaries and secret tunnels, and her strange and endearing friends, she begins to feel disconnected from the rest of the world. At least she won’t have to see David anymore. David, who she kissed. David, who lied to her about his identity—son of despised politician Edward King. Then King himself arrives at her house to offer a deal: He will bring Stevie back to Ellingham immediately. In return, she must play nice with David. King is in the midst of a campaign and can’t afford his son stirring up trouble. If Stevie’s at school, David will stay put. The tantalizing riddles behind the Ellingham murders are still waiting to be unraveled, and Stevie knows she’s so close. But the path to the truth has more twists and turns than she can imagine—and moving forward involves hurting someone she cares for. . . . #thevanishingstair #thevanishingstairtour #trulydevious #maureenjohnson #mystery #epicreads #storygramtours #youngadultbooks #ilovebooks #bookcommunity #fortheloveofreading #bookstagrammer #bookishlove #bookish #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #bookdragon #bookphotography #everysquareastory

2. Thank you to @br.enda for this stunning double feature!

Duology or Trilogy? 😍🤔 . I think it depends on the story, some stories i wish to be longer than trilogy some felt need to "trim" shorter, read alot of trilogies but i must said i have some dulogies that pretty much close to my bookish heart (SOC, Strange The Dreamer and Monster Of Verity) so maybe i like Duology more than trilogy 😁 . Gosh im so happy i survived monday!! my Monday started pretty rough, a motorcycle crashed into my car when i was on my way to work this morning😭😞 thanks God no one injured and as per ussual Monday work also felt rougher than any other day… i hate to say i had a bad day but today definetly not my fav day 🤧😩 i hope your Monday is better than mine 😭😭

⭐ Book Review ⭐ ⚔ The Cursed Sea by @laurendestefanoauthor ⚔ ⭐ Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 • "It made her feel less monstrous to compare this hunger to use her curse to something more human, such as unbuckling her boots in anticipation of scratching at and itchy heel" – Do you believe in curses? The kind that take hold of your heart and change it into something you don't recognize, or maybe the kind that plague the minds of cities and the fruitful lands in which those minds thrive? – If you don't, you should or rather, you will. – DeStefano's sequel to The Glass Spare was a book that lite me up and crushed me in all the ways I was hoping! Waiting a year to experience the heartache that belonged to Wil was hard and DeStefano made that wait worth it. From the opening line she makes you feel the weight of the words on the pages. I found myself experiencing what Wil was both feeling and seeing. Such as, the darkness that fell over the pages as she set foot on land that should have felt like home, but instead felt like lingering death and sorrow. The air surrounding this book shifted to something much darker than The Glass Spare and rightfully so, as Wil, Loom, Zay, Gerdie, and all the characters belonging to it have been fated something far worse than death. Lauren left me pleasantly surprised, unable to guess the predictions of many characters and outcomes. I would assume one theory, only to be proven wrong time and time again. The development of all characters was done so beautifully and I found myself loving the enemy by the end of the Duo-logy! – Get ready for the epic sequel that will leave you clawing for the next page. The Cursed Sea will spare anything but your heart. • FULL REVIEW ON GOODREADS ❣ —– #bookreview #thecursedsea #duology #theglassspare #laurendestefano #readeveryday #read #greatreads #bookstoread #bookstagram #bookography #bookishquotes #review #newrelease #fantasy #curse #booknerd #cozyreads #winterreads #booktoday #book #bookish #bookworm

QOTD: What’s your favorite fairytale? . If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably already know I love Cinderella’s rag to riches story. Obviously I need to think of some new questions. I feel like I run through the same 15 or so every month. It’s a cycle that I need to break. 😅 . But seriously, I’m in a terrible caption black today. Also, I had to wake up early and haven’t had coffee yet so I’m sorry in advance if this caption makes absolutely no sense. 🙈 . .……………………….. . #lilbookishfeb19 [#mysterylover] #ampersandfeb19 [struggle] #allthebooksfeb19 set in another country] #rfabfeb19 [duology] . . #bookstagram #bookish #spindlefire #epicreads #winterglass #lexahillyer #YA #bookgram #youngadultbooks #bookcommunity #igreads #reader #yaretelling #booksofinsta #bookworm #bibliophile #bookishlove #yabookstagram #yafantasy #readersofinstagram #bookishflatlay

10. A truly epic snapshot of a truly epic sequel @dreaminginpaiges

“You want to see people as extremes. Bad or good, trustworthy or not. I understand. It's easier that way. But that isn't how people work.” ― Carve The Mark, Veronica Roth 🌲 . . I’m finally out of my slump! Or more appropriately, I avoided falling deeper into one because I didn’t follow my January tbr list. It seems any time I make a schedule or a list of what to read next, my brain short circuits and I can’t focus on any book. I always call my tbr lists tentative for that very reason because if I actually stick to it, I won’t read a damn thing. Brains are weird. Anyhow, I’ve read some really good books so far this month, I’ve knocked a couple off of some goal lists, and I’m hoping to continue the trend. I finally picked up the sequel to Carve the Mark and I’m debating whether or not to squeeze these in this month. Maybe. Maybe not. (If I commit, I probably won’t read them, so maybe sounds like the best answer 😊) 🌲 . QOTD: Do you get overwhelmed with what you want to read next? If so, how do you deal with it? 🌲 . . #carvethemark #thefatesdivide #veronicaroth #epicreads #ya #yabooks #yalit #ireadya #youngadultbooks #book #bookworm #bookstagram #igbooks #booksofinstagram #instabook #instaread #booksandcoffee #fiestaware #homerlaughlin #booksandcandles #bathandbodyworks #marshmallowfireside #bookaddict #booklover #ilovebooks #reading #read #bibliophile #bookish #bookquotes

“Three dark queens, are born in a glen, sweet little triplets, will never be friends. Three dark sisters, all fair to be seen, two to devour, and one to be Queen” ― Kendare Blake, Three Dark Crowns. . We’ve finally been blessed with the final cover of Five Dark Fates (swipe for the cover)! The final book in the Three Dark Crown series by @kendareblake! . I swear this series was blessed by the book cover gods! I think they are so striking against the black. I love that this last cover brings all the elements together! . I’ve actually been waiting to binge read this series close to the release of the last book! I just get the feeling I’d enjoy reading it back to back. I’m definitely looking forward to diving into this world! . Have you read this series?! And thoughts on the final cover?! ⠀⠀
